Low-slung lines and a wide-open cockpit give this 38-foot day boat a different feel than the taller yachts around it. Up to 12 guests fit without crowding, and the swim platform makes it easy to get in the water when the boat anchors near Monument Island or Nixon sandbar. The layout favors groups that want to stay outside, move around, and let the day unfold without a strict itinerary or a lot of structure.
The crew knows the bay well and can adjust the route depending on wind, tide, or whether people want to swim or cruise. On the ride back along the South Beach shoreline, the sun drops lower and the water flattens out. Someone always ends up at the stern, feet up, watching the wake. The boat handles the chop easily, and the return feels like the best part of the afternoon.
