Use Case

Sandbar Yacht Charter Miami

Sandbar yacht charters in Miami anchor at the Nixon Sandbar — a chest-deep flat between Key Biscayne and Stiltsville that's the social hub of Miami's boating scene every weekend. A typical 4-hour sandbar day departs 11am, anchors at the sandbar by noon, swims and floats until 2:30pm, and returns by 3pm. Pricing starts at $2,200 for a 4-hour charter on a 50' yacht.

Tide & timing

The sandbar is best at low tide (water 2–4 ft deep so you can stand). Check the Miami Beach tide chart — low tide between 11am and 3pm is the sweet spot. Mid-day high tide means you'll swim instead of stand. Captains know the tide and pick the anchor spot accordingly.

What to bring

Sunscreen (reef-safe ideally), water shoes, a Bluetooth speaker (we have one but yours might be louder), waterproof phone case, and a hat. We provide the cooler, ice, paddleboards, and a floating mat. Bring your own food/drinks (BYOB) or pre-order catering.

Weekend etiquette

200+ boats anchor at the sandbar on a peak Saturday. Boats raft up close — nudity is illegal, music must be reasonable, and trash overboard is a federal offense. The Coast Guard patrols regularly. Vice City Yacht Club captains will brief you on all of this.
