Wedding yacht charters in Miami range from intimate elopements (10 guests on a 60' yacht, $4,500) to full receptions on 100'+ inspected vessels (149 guests, $25,000+). The captain can officiate the ceremony if licensed (most are not — bring your own officiant). We coordinate the floral, catering, photographer, and DJ vendors; you focus on the dress.
Wedding planning timeline
Book the yacht 6–9 months out for peak season (Oct–April). Vendor selection (caterer, florist, photographer, officiant) finalizes 90 days out. Final headcount, menu, and ceremony script lock 30 days out. Marriage license must be obtained from any Florida county clerk 3+ days before (effective 3 days, valid 60 days).
Ceremony logistics
Most ceremonies happen on the bow underway (with the skyline behind) or at anchor at sunset. We slow the engines for the vows so audio is clean. Outdoor ceremonies are weather-dependent — your contract includes a free reschedule if winds exceed 25 knots.
Reception
After the ceremony the salon and aft deck transform into the reception space. Standard packages include welcome cocktails, plated 3-course dinner, dessert, and a 2-hour DJ. Open bar packages from $45/person. Cake-cutting on the bow at sunset is the most-requested photo moment.
