Why Brickell Is the Best Charter Starting Point in Miami

Most Brickell yacht charters leave from Sea Isle Marina at 1635 N Bayshore Dr, a five-minute drive from the financial district with on-site parking. Vice City Yacht Club runs same-day departures from Sea Isle or Miami Beach Marina, with 4-hour charters starting at $650 and reaching $19,000 for vessels up to 135 feet. Brickell sits directly on Biscayne Bay, so you're on the water in minutes with the downtown skyline at your back. The proximity matters for corporate charters and lunch cruises — you leave the office, board at Sea Isle, and cruise past the financial district towers without burning half your charter time in transit.

Bay access is direct: you exit the marina channel, turn north toward the Venetian Islands or south toward the sandbar, and the open water starts immediately. Marinas up the Miami River or on the far edges of Miami Beach require 20–30 minutes of navigation before you reach anything worth photographing.

Miami Beach Marina (300 Alton Rd, Miami Beach) is the second pickup option for Brickell groups. It sits across the bay near South Beach, roughly 15 minutes by car from the financial district. Some of our larger yachts dock at Miami Beach Marina year-round, and if you want a specific vessel — Astonish at 97 feet or CIAO 5 at 116 feet — the pickup location is fixed to wherever that boat lives. Both marinas offer the same departure experience: arrive, meet the captain at the dock, board, and cast off. The captain runs a brief safety orientation before leaving the dock, and then charter time begins. Parking, Rideshare, and Arrival Timing

Sea Isle Marina has on-site parking available to charter guests. Spaces fill quickly on weekends, especially during peak season from November through April, so arriving early is the safer move. If you're staying at a Brickell hotel — East, SLS, Four Seasons, Kimpton EPIC — rideshare is often simpler: drop-off is directly at the marina entrance, and the ride takes five minutes.

Plan to arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled start time. Charter time begins at the hour listed in your confirmation email, not when you actually board. A 1:00 PM departure means the captain casts off at 1:00 PM; if you arrive at 1:15 PM, you've used 15 minutes of your window. Late arrival does not extend the return time — the remainder of the charter runs on the clock you paid for, and the marina slip is typically reserved for another boat immediately after your block.
